Fiery Dohnal, the Conjuror

The Conjurer path is centered on the summoning and control of otherworldly beings.

Conjurers possess the ability to call forth powerful shards of the Nine to aid them in battle, each with unique abilities and strengths.

No matter the situation on the battlefield, from a swarm of enemies to a wounded ally, Conjurers adapt to the needs of the moment.

Their deep connection with the Nine allows them to harness and direct these powerful entities, making them a versatile and unpredictable force.

Fiery Dohnal was once more well-known for his capabilities as a Warlock, but he left that Path behind when he was visited by premonitions of The Nine. Never having been particularly religious, this sudden influx of divinity upon his psyche left a profound impact upon Fiery Dohnal, who took it upon himself to bring the overwhelming presence of The Nine to any who would oppose him.

Still a capable and cunning adversary, all The Nine’s revelations have done for Fiery Dohnal is augment his altogether far-too-effective magical abilities, churning up the very earth with his mystical might.

Miriam the Reaper, the Diabolist

The Diabolist path delves into the dark arts, wielding infernal magic and summoning daemonic forces to wreak havoc on the battlefield.

Diabolists harness the power of malevolent entities, casting destructive spells and summoning fiends to do their bidding.

Their command over dark forces allows them to curse their enemies, drain life force and spread chaos among their foes.

While their power is formidable, it often comes at a cost, as they must constantly balance their control over the dark energies they wield.

Mysterious, deadly and frankly more than a little unhinged, there are times when Miriam the Reaper has been described as as much of a threat to her allies as her enemies. Despite this, or perhaps in spite of it, Miriam has yet to have much trouble finding her way into a Clan, where she has free reign to force every scathing ounce of her magic into her foes, peeling them like stewed grapes.

Whether her diabolic might is the inborn result of an ill-advised union somewhere far back in her family, or a more recent pact made with some daemonic entity, none can argue that Miriam the Reaper isn’t anything less than fiendishly effective.

Ditanu, the Kensei

The Kensei path represents the pinnacle of swordsmanship, where mastery of the blade is both an art and a discipline.

Kensei are revered for their unparalleled skill with swords, able to perform precise and deadly strikes with unmatched grace and efficiency.

Their rigorous training and deep understanding of martial philosophy allow them to anticipate and counter their opponents’ moves.

Kensei can turn the tide of battle with their superior technique, embodying the spirit of the warrior and the elegance of the swordsman.

Ditanu never originally intended to become a Citizen, let alone a Clan warrior, but fate rarely deals the hand that one might wish to play. Ditanu was trained in the initial motions of the Way of the Unbound Blade by a passing swordsman who instilled in the youth a keen appreciation not only for a fine blade, but for the commitment one must make in order to make an artful cut.

Now grown and with their swordsmanship fully realized, Ditanu has taken to the field under the auspices of the Pale King in order to better their understanding of their esoteric swordplay, with the hope of one day wielding the Unbound Blade in its full glory.

Amaranth Parry, the Minstrel

The Minstrel path blends the art of music with magic, using melodies and harmonies to influence the battlefield.

Minstrels inspire their allies with uplifting tunes, enhancing their abilities and morale. Conversely, they can demoralize and disrupt enemies with dissonant notes and sonic assaults.

Minstrels are also storytellers, preserving the history and legends of their clan through song.

Their presence on the battlefield is both comforting and formidable, as they weave magic into their music to sway the course of combat.

Cheerful, upbeat and with a story for every occasion, Amaranth Parry is a rather stereotypical example of what one might expect from a Path named Minstrel, at least on the surface. Many of her fellow warriors have haunting stories of Amaranth leveling entire enemy contingents with only a simple chord, the smile never leaving her face, but always reaching her eyes.

There’s something a bit chilling about someone who’s only ever happy to be on a battlefield, but there’s more to it with a woman like Parry, who’s never turned down an opportunity to go afield and practice her deadly art. Hopefully you’re always on the right side of the audience.

Kuron “Blackhorn”, the Pugilist

The Pugilist path represents the mastery of unarmed combat, where physical prowess and raw strength are paramount.

Pugilists rely on their fists, feet and sheer endurance to pummel their enemies into submission.

With a deep understanding of martial arts and hand-to-hand techniques, they can deliver powerful blows and rapid strikes, often overwhelming their opponents through relentless aggression.

Pugilists also excel in using their environment to their advantage, turning the battlefield into their personal arena.

One would be forgiven for assuming that Clan warriors arm themselves as best they are able for the rigours of their profession. That misinformed opinion would last until witnessing someone like Kuron, otherwise known to their clanmates as Blackhorn. Clad in simple cloth and wielding no weapons beyond their fists and the odd rock, Blackhorn is just as deadly as any warrior with a blade.

Said to be from deep within the Parache Deepwood, it’s a wonder Blackhorn has survived long enough to swear their oaths and become a Clan warrior. Of course, to survive in such a hellish locale is quite a resume.

Tibalt, the Shinobi

The Shinobi path embodies the art of stealth, subterfuge and lethal precision.

Shinobi are masters of espionage and assassination, moving silently and striking without warning.

They employ a variety of tools, including shurikens, smoke bombs and concealed weapons to disorient and eliminate their targets.

With unparalleled agility and cunning, Shinobi can infiltrate enemy lines, gather intelligence, and execute high-value targets, all while remaining unseen.

Not much is known about the living shadow known as Tibalt, though there is much supposed. Given their obvious heritage it’s assumed they’re from Ma’mooh’al, a district within Badarr, where a few families know the secrets of the Shinobi Path and train their scions for it. Other rumours claim that they sprung up in the middle of a particularly dangerous operation and decimated every monster on the field before reporting to the Tactician.

Whatever the case, so long as they’re on your side you can rest assured that the darkest places on the peninsula hold nothing that you need to fear.

Melinda Grace, the Spellsword

The Spellsword path combines martial prowess with arcane knowledge, creating a formidable hybrid warrior.

Spellswords seamlessly blend swordplay with spellcasting, enhancing their combat abilities with magical buffs and unleashing powerful spells in the heat of battle.

They can enchant their weapons, shield themselves with arcane barriers and strike with both blade and magic.

Spellswords are versatile fighters, able to adapt to various combat situations and exploit both physical and magical weaknesses in their enemies.

Poised, capable and skilled both on the battlefield and off, Melinda Grace was raised from a young age to not only be a Clan warrior, but to be a Spellsword par excellence. She is one of many Clan warriors who represent nobility, the scion of an aristocratic house who see Clan warfare as not only an effective way to produce suitable heirs but to continually improve their lot in the eyes of the Pale Dynasty.

If one were to ask Miss Grace though, she would tell you that she is a professional. Professionals have standards; they are polite, they are efficient, and they have a plan to best everyone they meet.

Emilio Cogsworth, the Tinkerer

The Tinkerer path focuses on innovation and mechanical ingenuity, utilizing customized fusils and other gadgets to gain an edge in battle.

Tinkerers are experts in creating and deploying a wide range of options to alter the course and flow of a conflict.

They combine technical skill with battlefield strategy, providing both offensive and defensive support through their inventions.

Tinkerers are always experimenting and improving their creations, ensuring their clan stays ahead in any conflict.

Tinkerers like Emilio Cogsworth are sterling minds, vastly capable and intelligent machinists who can seemingly cobble together mechanical marvels as simply as another warrior might tie a knot. Emilio Cogsworth appeared on the scene with a fusil in hand seemingly out of nowhere, toting a bag of assorted parts and eager to test his inventions on the battlefield.

It didn’t take long for a Covenentrist to be found to swear Emilio’s oaths and he almost immediately proved himself a capable and calculating mind. It’s a bit troubling now and then to his clanmates that his creations are so wantonly effective, but as long as they’re not on the wrong side, Emilio asks what the harm is.

Sulwyn Samson, the Vanguard

The Vanguard path is defined by its role as the spearhead of any assault, combining durability with offensive might.

Vanguards lead the charge, absorbing enemy attacks and holding the line while their allies manoeuvre for advantage.

Equipped with heavy armour and powerful weapons, they are the first to enter the fray and the last to leave.

Their presence on the battlefield boosts the morale of their comrades and intimidates their foes, making them essential for breaking enemy defenses and securing key positions.

Mysterious and almost overwhelmingly focused, Sulwyn Samson stands amidst their clanmates as a stalwart and reliable force that can’t be denied. They seem almost supernaturally driven, never at rest and always on guard, ready for the next wave of enemies and seeming to relish the opportunity to cross swords with anyone that doesn’t meet the Pale Dynasty’s muster.

What could have happened to make Sulwyn so focused and driven to bring the fight to the Pale King’s enemies? None can argue their valour, but if the choice came down to a fatal stand against overwhelming odds and a strategic retreat, which would Sulwyn take?

Skuld “Firecrown” Skyberg, the Wildsoul

The Wildsoul path is attuned to the primal forces of nature, drawing strength from the wilderness and its creatures.

Wildsouls can augment themselves with the aspects of powerful beasts, channel the fury of the elements and communicate with wildlife to gain tactical advantages.

Their bond with nature allows them to manipulate the environment and unleash devastating attacks.

Wildsouls thrive in outdoor settings, where their connection to the natural world is strongest, embodying the raw and untamed power of the wild.

Hailing from the far reaches of Maluna, Skuld Skyberg reflects the dangerous and unpredictable nature of her frontier home. Called “Firecrown” by her clanmates and enemies alike, Skuld crashes into foes in a manner not unlike the deadly wildlife found within Upper Wynside Reach.

Rowdy, upbeat and unflaggingly confident, one could definitely do a lot worse than having the Firecrown on their side. Just make sure you’re not in the way when she really cuts loose; fire is a hungry element and it’ll burn through even the closest friend if they’re not careful.

Will your Clan rise to greatness, etching its name in the annals of history?
