Acquila Brystow, the Apothecary
The Apothecary path is dedicated to the art of healing and alchemy, providing essential support on the battlefield through medical expertise and the concoction of potent brews.
Apothecaries are skilled in mixing herbs, potions and elixirs to heal wounds, cure banes, and bolster the resilience of their allies. Their extensive knowledge of medicinal and toxic substances allows them to both mend and hinder, creating a dual role as healer and subtle saboteur.
In the midst of chaos, Apothecaries ensure their companions endure, using their skills to tip the balance in favour of their clan.
Aquila Brystow has earned their place as an Apothecary and is gifted with a keen mind and boundless curiosity. This ambition leads them to dangerous battlefield experiments, as they’re eager to push the limits of what’s possible.
On the battlefield, these experimental drugs can have unexpected side effects, leading to mixed results. Despite the risks, Aquila’s reputation as a reliable alchemist remains intact as they prove themselves time and again. Though their methods are unconventional, Acquila is guided by a desire to serve the Pale King and protect Maluna’s people from the myriad threats they face.
Squinting Freddie, the Brigand
The Brigand path is defined by cunning, agility and a penchant for guerrilla tactics. Brigands are adept at hit-and-run strategies, utilizing their speed and stealth to harass and destabilize enemy forces.
Brigands thrive in chaotic environments where their adaptability and quick thinking allow them to exploit any situation to their advantage.
Whether looting, scouting or engaging in skirmishes, Brigands are always on the move, striking swiftly and disappearing just as fast.
The Brigand known only as Squinting Freddie is something of an enigmatic figure, flitting from engagement to engagement like a hummingbird to a new flower in the field.
Freddie is a resourceful combatant and never shies away from the dirtier sides of clan warfare, where even the barest edge can shave out a victory. Decisive and thorough, it’s hard to think of a better blade to have at your side when the going gets tough, so long as it’s not so tough that the tough get going. Whatever else one might have to say about Squinting Freddie, none can argue that he isn’t a loyal Citizen.
Laris, the Cleric
The Cleric path embodies divine service and spiritual strength, offering both healing and holy wrath on the battlefield. Clerics draw upon their faith to channel powerful restorative magic, mending wounds and protecting their allies with divine shields.
They also wield sacred spells to smite the wicked and purge evil, making them formidable opponents against the wicked things of the world. Clerics often serve as the moral and spiritual pillars of their clans, providing guidance and solace in times of strife.
Their unwavering faith and divine powers make them essential to the well-being of their comrades.
Like many of her fellows amidst the clergy of the Pale King’s Faithful, Laris is at once both a boon to her allies and an absolute terror to those who claim to be at odds with her. As with any others of her faith, whoever she was before donning the robes and taking her oaths has fallen by the wayside, leaving behind only Laris, who exists to further the aims of her Pale King.
Some may claim that the Pale King’s Faithful are not a true faith, as they do not adhere to the tenets of The Nine, but none can argue against the efficacy of Laris’ methods, whether she is salving a wound or searing the flesh from the bones of nonbelievers.
Donoma, the Hawkeye
The Hawkeye path represents unparalleled marksmanship and keen perception.
Hawkeyes excel in ranged combat, using their finely tuned senses and exceptional aim to strike enemies from afar.
Whether armed with bows, crossbows, or even fusils, they can pick off key targets with precision, turning the tide of battle from a distance.
In the chaos of battle, the Hawkeye remains a calm, calculating presence, their sharp eyes always focused on the next target.
Hailing from much further afield than his companions might have realized at first blush, Donoma came from far to the northwest of Elma’s Run. Originally from the Darman Range, Donoma’s peerless skill with a bow landed them a surprising invitation to attend a fast-track course within a Clan Academy.
Having sworn his oaths and taken to the field, Donoma has proven to be just as stalwart a companion as any young scion born and bred to find their way into a Tactician’s Clan. If you’re going up against Donoma’s crew, just make sure you keep under cover, because one shot’s all it takes.
Sansani, the Myrmidon
The Myrmidon path embodies the spirit of a seasoned frontline warrior, blending raw physical power with tactical expertise.
Myrmidons are masters of close-quarters combat, wielding heavy weapons and sturdy shields to break enemy lines and defend key positions.
Their resilience and unyielding nature make them the backbone of any clan, capable of withstanding brutal assaults and delivering devastating counterattacks.
Myrmidons thrive in the heat of battle, their indomitable presence inspiring allies and intimidating foes.
A native of the Hinterjagd who grew up seeing wandering Clans filled with stalwart and capable warriors solving problems and protecting people, Sansari is perhaps the most upright and proper Citizen one could hope to meet in the field. Bearing strong steel and a stout shield, Sansani meets all comers with the resolute devotion of the truly confident.
At once a student of battle as she is an expert at dealing out terminal punishment, there isn’t often a strategem that eludes Sansani for long. One had best hope they get the best of her quickly, before the tables are turned in spectacular fashion.
Warwick, the Warlock
The Warlock path delves into the arcane, mastering magic to control and devastate the battlefield with the fundamental aspects of the world.
Warlocks harness dangerous powers, summoning volatile energies to annihilate their enemies.
They are skilled in curses and hexes, weakening foes and turning the tide through malevolent enchantments.
Their forceful and fearsome presence commands respect and dread, as they unleash otherworldly forces to bend the battlefield to their will.
As gifted a magician as has ever graced the field, Warwick sculpts elemental energies as easily as a potter shapes clay. Wielding devastating magical power and possessing a keen, cool mind under pressure, Warwick has been able to consistently bring victory to their Clan, raining devastation upon their foes with unparalleled efficacy.
Occasionally some have asked what sorts of things Warwick might be interested in outside of battle, but the Warlock is a rather withdrawn and private individual. Still, this hasn’t stopped them from accumulating an impressive gaggle of rather persistent fans, much to their chagrin.
